From Boardroom to Beach Club: My Fall Reset Between Miami and the Virgin Islands
September is always a season of transition. For some, it’s back-to-school. For me, it’s back-to-balance. After a summer of island hopping and rooftop nights, I use September to reset—splitting time between Miami’s vibrant energy and the calming embrace of the Virgin Islands.
Here’s how I’ve been navigating work, wellness, and resortwear this month:
1. Miami Days: Business with a Side of Sun
Miami is where I go when I need to be productive and playful. Mornings are for meetings in airy linen pants and a silk scarf top; afternoons are for slipping into a bikini at Soho Beach House. It’s where I remind myself that ambition and ease can live in the same day.
2. Virgin Islands Nights: Unplug & Unwind
When I’m back home in the Virgin Islands, I slow down. I watch sunsets with my stepkids, cook fresh seafood, and wear flowing kaftans over bare skin. It’s my reminder that luxury isn’t always about excess—it’s about presence.
3. My Fall Self-Care Formula
• Movement: Morning yoga on a balcony, towel as my mat.
• Style: Layering lightweight resortwear pieces with earthy neutrals for cooler nights.
• Luxury: Champagne baths, silk pillowcases, and saying “no” to anything that doesn’t feel aligned.
4. Why September Feels Like New Year’s Eve to Me
I don’t wait for January to set intentions. September has always felt like my real reset button. It’s when I refine my wardrobe, refresh my beauty routine, and map out the trips that will carry me through the holidays and beyond.
Final Thought:
Whether I’m in Miami skyscrapers or Virgin Islands coves, I’ve realized that self-care is not something you squeeze in—it’s something you live. Resortwear is just the uniform I choose to remind myself of that every day.
